Working with Intersteels SLC has been responsible for several key CDP elements such as steel to steel connections, secondary steelwork and plant frames throughout the building. Working closely with stakeholders SLC has provided a quick services enabling a reduced steel tonnage and practical construction to be achieved in an iconic London landmark.
SLC was appointed to design the bridge and platform areas, using sound engineering principals the bridge and platform was design to blend into the surrounding landscape. This project is now open to the public and is one of personal pride at SLC.
Working with J Coffey Construction, SLC has designed and verified all the new steel to steel connections throughout multiple floors of the project. The scheme is a complex cut and carve scheme with real consideration required on buildability with regard to the connections.
SLC has worked closely with UB Infrastructure (ubi.eco) to develop a modular aluminium structural system. By bringing standardisation and innovation to critical industries such as rail and utilities the product is providing a pivotal solution to futureproofing these industries. The product is low carbon and can be constructed in days meaning less scheduled engineering works impacting your rail journeys.
